RESULTS FROM
"4th Annual Battle At The Jambaloya Capitol"
Gonzales, Louisiana, USA
By IKF & ISCF Associate Representative Michael Gordon

First time IKF & ISCF Promoter Donald Mayeaux hosted his first IKF & ISCF Sanctioned event, "4th Annual Battle At The Jambaloya Capitol" this past Saturday, June 24th at the St. Amant High School Gym in Gonzales, Louisiana, USA. Approximately 5 to 600 fans were in attendance for the 9 bout fight card. The only "Hick-Up" for the event was when a severe thunder storm moved through the area causing the venue to lose power. This outage put the show two hours behind and hurt attendance but after the delay, those still in there were all ready to "Bring It ON!" Here are the nights results below.

  1. Bantamweight Kickboxing
    Nick Geautreau vs Brantley Wilson
Geautreau who was a last minute fill in replacing Ben Poole approved by Steve Miller won by TKO 1:51 in the first round when Wilson was unable to continue after a body shot grounded him. Wilson was on his feet for the 8 count but did not want to continue.

  2. AMATEUR Middleweight MMA
    Josh Fontenot VS Charles Moe
Fontenot won by submission with a rear naked choke at 1:48 of the first round.

  3. Lightweight Kickboxing
    Dustin Carbajal vs David Deville
This bout was stopped by the fight doctor due to a cut caused by an incidental head but. This bout was ruled a no contest. Carbajal was ahead on the score cards.

  4. Bout 4 was to be a Welterweight MMA bout between Mark Hinson vs Alex Jumonville. Hinson was at weigh-ins and the pre fight doctors check. He remained in the venue up until the lights went out. Apparently he left the venue with no notice to the Promoter or any of the Promoters staff. No fighters, staff members or any other event personnel were given permission to leave. Through the night the Promoter made several attempts to contact Hinson to get him to return but kept getting his voicemail. Hinson didn't return any calls.

  5. Light Heavyweight Kickboxing
    Antoine Gardner vs Aaron Nickoson
    Gardner won by split decision
  6. AMATEUR Welterweight MMA
    Matt Gautreau VS Wesley Suncheefor
Due to some miscommunication in regards to this bout that occurred during round 1, this bout has been ruled a "No Contest" by the ISCF.

  7. Heavyweight Kickboxing
    Nick Davine vs Jason Horne
Davine was down early in the first round from a roundhouse kick that landed to the head. When the same kick was landed in the second round Davine was unable to meet the ten count.
Jason Horne wins by KO at 1:12 of the second round.

  8. AMATEUR Light Heavyweight MMA
    Brandon Phillips VS Keith Strickland
Although Strickland controlled the fight on the ground and would take Phillips down at will, the bout was stopped by the fight doctor due to a cut on the eyelid of Strickland, awarding Phillips the win by TKO.

  9. Welterweight Kickboxing
    Adam Verret vs Calvin Miller
Calvin Miller won by unanimous decision

Further notes about the show. Ben Poole was to fight Brantly Wilson. Poole's trainer called two hours before weigh-ins and informed the Promoter that Poole had to deal with some personal issues from the night before the event and was not going to be able to fight.

Guy Girouard called on Wednesday and informed the promoter that he was unable to fight. The reason being he had taken a fight on the previous Saturday and got injured (broken ribs) on the show. He had a firm commitment with this promoter for his event for two months in advance, took a short notice fight on the weekend before this commitment and got injured. With the very short notice the promoter was unable to replace him and lost the entire fight. He was to fight Brandon Warr.
Girouard vs Warr Update
UPDATE AT 6:30 PM PST - Thursday Evening, 6-29-06: Tonight we found out that the reason Guy Girouard pulled out of this event above is because he fought on "Another" event the same night in Louisiana. in doing this, he left this promoter and fighter Brandon Warr without a fight. Due to this, the ISCF has suspended Girouard. For suspension details Click HERE.

For more info on this event please contact Mr. Donald Mayeaux at (225) 673-2046 or by e-mail at americanwarrior@eatel.net

RESULTS FROM
CLASH IN THE CAGE III
Grain Valley, Missouri, USA

ISCF Representative, Benjamin Nogueras Jr.: Friday night, June 16th the True Fight Fan Team hosted another Great MMA show at the Whiskey Tango in Grain Valley, Missouri. I first want to say that the promoters at True Fight Fan keep doing the things that make shows successful. I've attended two of there shows and I can't help but enjoy the entire setup. Very well done shows. Very well matched fights, and Very good guys that put on these shows. What an event!

Here Are The
Results Of The Fights - All Amateur Bouts:

  1. Shay Danielson VS Marshall Jackson
Shay starts his night out with a powerful slam which led to a very quick mount and a barrage of fists that seemed to make their mark. Shay controlled this fight from the start. He maintained control by staying in the mount and landing punches to the body and head of Marshall. Marshall tried valiantly to loosen Shay's mount, but was unsuccessful throughout the entire round one.
In Round two, both fighters came out swinging. Marshall came out throwing kicks which kept Shay at bay for a few seconds. Shay however shot in and started landing knees to the legs of Marshall while in an A-Frame position. Both fighters then took it to the ground where Shay accidentally lands a forearm which results in a referee warning. Both fighters are stood up and come out swinging with Shay landing the majority of the punishment. Shay once again controlled rounds two and three by mounting Marshall and delivering a brutal ground and pound game, but Marshall, however was not following Shay's plan. Marshall endured a tremendous pounding, but walked away with the victory with an arm-bar which he locked at 2:39 seconds into the third round.
Marshall Jackson wins over Shay Danielson.

  2. Isaac Goins VS Levi Swanson
This fight started with a bang. A big bang as Levi picks Isaac up to the heights of the ceiling, and slams Isaac right on to his back. The landing almost took your breath away as it looked like Isaac landed on his head. Luckily the quick thinking Isaac tucked his head and started on his own game plan. Isaac turned out to be a pretty scrappy guy, trying to land punches and kicks in any opportunity he could find. Levi however quickly gained control of the fight by mounting Isaac and submitting him with a Scarf-choke in 2:57 of the first round. Exciting quick bout.
Levi Swanson wins over Isaac Goins.

  3. Paul Kolenda VS Caio Pinotti
Can you repeat after me, "Skills".
Talk about great solid skills, both of these young fighters brought their A game to this fight. Caio displayed his skills quickly from the sound of the bell, with powerful leg kicks and some ground defense. Paul on the other hand brought some guns and a huge heart of determination. Paul was the more aggressive fighter, attempting to overwhelm Ciao with his barrage of fists. Caio however was very composed, relaxed, and comfortable in his defense and knew how to control Paul's attacks. Caio and Paul displayed a lot of great skills. From their stand-up to their ground, they were both solid fighters. Caio eventually overwhelmed Paul with a great mount that resulted in a TKO which was a result of a barrage of fists that Caio seemed to land the entire time. All I can say is, keep your eyes open for both of these fighters.
Caio Pinotti wins over Paul Kolenda.

  4. Travis Sveum VS Matt Dukes
I'll start by saying that this fight was a major upset for all those Matt Dukes fans out there. Many had predicted this fight to end with a victory for Dukes, as Dukes has a phenomenal reputation of dominating his opponents. Travis Sveum however is a force to be reckoned with. He knew exactly what the outcome of this fight was going to be. The fight starts out with Matt taking Travis down, but in the middle of his take down his arm gets caught up in what looks like a Triangle choke that he could not get out of. Matt hung in there valiantly, but ultimately succumbed to a Submission in 2:05 of the first round. Travis came through with a win that elevates his young career as a force to be reckoned with fights to come.
Travis Sveum wins over Matt Dukes.

  5. Chad Vandenberg VS Troy Talevera
In my opinion, this was the second best fight of the night. Both of these fighters came out in fast forward mode. These talented fighters were so full of energy, speed, and power that from the starting bell, they just clashed with a flurry of everything. The start of it all was quick. They both throw and landed a few quick powerful punches, then Chad quickly went for the take down. Once they both landed on the mat, Troy quickly attempted a Triangle Choke which he held on to for a minute until Chad fought out of it and landed a few punches to Troy's body. Chad then quickly stood up, backed up and as Troy was standing, Chad reacted with a kick to the left eye of Troy which impaired his vision. The referee quickly jumped in and warned Chad of the kick he landed on Troy, due to the fact that it appeared that Troy was in a three-point stance. Everyone in attendance agreed that the kick was accidental due to the timing and quick reaction by both fighters. Troy was given his allotted time to clean his eye and attempt to continue the fight but was unable to see out of the eye, so the fight was stopped as a no contest fight due to the accident. Both Fighters agreed that it was an accident and agreed to do the rematch soon. Great fight considering the accident.
    No Contest.

  6. Jason Collanbong VS Kirk Grinlinton
Both fighters came to fight, and everyone had Kirk Grinlinton winning this fight from the get go. You could see the determination in his eyes. (Big Country is what he's known by around these parts.:) He brought his game plan, and it was to rope and overwhelm Jason; and he did just that. Jason Colobong, on the other hand is one tough guy. Tonight was his third fight in a short span of three weeks. Jason fought three tough fights back to back to back. Dude, you're a phenomenal athlete, but take a breather man. Jason started the fight with powerful leg kicks and then went in for the shot, but gets caught in an arm-bar while on his stomach which prevented him to defend himself with Big Country weight on him. Kirk (Big Country) pinned the arm and mounted Jason in a rear naked choke position, but instead of going for the choke, Kirk went to pounding Jason on the side of the head. This resulted in a TKO stoppage.
Kirk Grinlinton wins over Jason Colobong in 1:35 in the first.

  7. Jesse Wolf VS Cody Bell
This was a very well matched fight and the hype of this fight was well deserved. This was the fight of the night and they both delivered. Cody Bell exploded with a great round house kick followed by a spinning back fist. Jesse Wolfe however was quick on his feet and dodged the destructive message that was coming his way. Jesse dodged the flurry, and took Cody Bell down to the ground were they both quickly worked to gain control of the fight. Both fights had solid ground skills, exchanging there best moves in what seemed to be a challenge of better skills. Jesse would dish something out and Cody would counter with something better and vice versa. While on the ground Jesse attempted to control the fight while working to get mount, but Cody seemed extremely secure on the ground attempting a triangle choke then returning to his guard. Cody somehow managed to position himself to submit the strong and determined Jesse Wolfe with an arm-bar at 1:22 of the second round.
Cody wins by submission at 1:22 in the second over Jesse Wolfe.

  8. Eric Marriott vs Willie Mack
The first thing I'll say is that Willie Mack is a Mack. He stepped into this fight whole heartedly knowing the impressive reputation of Eric "The Machine" Marriott. Willie came out swinging and his punches were fast and powerful, but Eric's focus and experience allowed him to see an opening over Willie Mack. Eric "The Machine" went to work and instantly after seeing that opening, he throw a powerful left hook which landed on the money. That's all that it took for Eric to win over a tough Willie Mack. I'm definitely interested in seeing these two guys grow in this career field.
Eric Marriott wins in round one over Willie Mack.

  9. Garrett Seimer VS Chris Page
Chris Paige starts off the action with a powerful, painful sounding leg kick, but that power did not keep Garret Seimer at bay for long. Garrett takes Paige to the ground and starts working his mount with various punches to let Paige know this night would be a tough one for him. Paige maintained composure with a great guard, but gets caught with a barrage of punches that ultimately ends his defense efforts in the guard position.
Garrett wins with a TKO in 1:52 in the first round.

  10. Cody Parrish VS Brian Davidson
The way I'd describe this fight is with words like; Earthquake, Explosions, Nuclear Destruction!!! Both of these fighters came to destroy, dominate, and take the name of "The best 165 pounder around!" Brian came out with a strong leg kick, but Cody seemed so determined to take Brian down that he just deflected it and came charging for a take down. Both fighters worked intently trying to dominate over the other. Cody at this point was working into a mount position as Brian attempted to fend Cody off with solid ground defense. Cody ultimately showed his dominance by breaking Brian's guard and mounted him. You know they say that lighting generally doesn't strike in the same spot twice, but I guess it can happen and it did happen. Cody's lighting fast right hooks continued to hit the same exact spot every time. Brian fought valiantly against Cody. Especially when other fighters seem to avoid Cody, Brian stepped up and gave a great show. The question is however, can Cody be stopped? I personally think he's too tough and ready to explode on the pro scene. But until then, we look forward to seeing these two fighters move ahead in this fight game.
Cody Parrish wins with 2:43 seconds into the first round with TKO over Brian Davidson.

  11. Jason Teeman vs Billy Carey
This was one fight that was not schedule to happen. Jason Teeman was scheduled to fight Dominic Brown, but Dominic was no were to be found. Apparently he had an emergency that had to be handled. So in steps Billy Carey. A tough guy with desire and heart to go places. Carry stepped in with little notice and jumped at the opportunity to fight Jason Teeman, knowing that if he beat Jason, he could easily get the opportunity to eventually fight for a title. Teeman on the other hand didn't care who he fought. Dominic Brown, Billy Carry, Mike Tyson…..Ok Mike Tyson is a stretch, but he really did not care who TFF put in front of him. He already made up his mind that he was going to destroy whomever stood in front of him. And maybe it was a good thing that Dominic was unable to attend, for this was Jason's night. From the start of this fight both fighters were relentless. None stop, fists flying, intense ground work and great technique. Teeman seemed to latch on to Billy and not let loss. Billy would scramble across the ring, and Teeman would latch on until he finally executed a rear naked choke with 1:35 seconds of the first round. Billy fought hard and we give him props for that, but Teeman brought the heat and heart to defeat Billy.
Jason Teeman wins with 1:35 in the first round over Billy Carry with a submission.

Gladiators Clash on Milwaukee's
"Festival of Fights" Supercard

Whitesel & Zuniga Crowned Gladiators Champions

By Rob Hinds - ISCF Event Representative: Gladiators Fighting invaded Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Ramada Convention Center Grand Ballroom Saturday evening, June 3rd, 2006, with a monster show of force called "Festival of Fights." IKF and ISCF Promoters Duke Roufus and Scott Joffe and their Gladiators Fighting "Festival of Fights" Celebrated an evening of Exceptional Athletes. The Gladiators Fighting Series put on another successful exhibition of the world's greatest combat sports.

In an exciting exhibition showcasing two of the world's most popular combat sports, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts, fans witnessed what many are calling one of the best Gladiators fight cards ever.

On a star studded night every fighter let it all hang out in the squared circle in front of a loyal, boisterous Milwaukee crowd. From the under card through the main event, every bout was worth the price of admission and then some.

Orlando, Florida's Striker Productions was on hand filming the show for the Mayhem Fighting Series television and DVD properties. "The Ultimate Fighter - Season 1" reality show favorite and UFC Star Stephan Bonnar was in attendance to assist veteran commentator Jay Adams with calling the fights for Mayhem.

Seated ringside were former NFL defensive superstars Gilbert "The Gravedigger" Brown and Santana Dotson of the 1996 Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers, Joel Przybilla, the 7'1" center of the NBA's Portland Trailblazers (formerly of the Milwaukee Bucks) and actor/comedian Dustin Diamond, more commonly known as "Screech" from the hit television show "Saved by the Bell." All of the personalities took a turn as the third man in the broadcast booth and as the dvd will show, each did an exceptional job behind the mike.

To begin the evening of events with a bang, all amateur fights were outstanding. Those enjoying victory include: Eric Markgraf, Jon Eldridge, Mike "The Volt" Vaughn, and Adam "Bomb" Vander Veen.

The main card continued to please the crowd with an array of knockouts, submissions and hard fought battles making the judges decisions very challenging. The action was fast and furious in all bouts as fans watched the action live in the ring or on 1 of 8 video and plasma screens placed throughout the venue. This was an A-1 show from start to finish!

Two new Gladiator Champions were also crowned in Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing on this exciting night. Here are all the bout results below:

"Festival of Fights" was presented by John Ellenbecker's All Construction and Shepherd-Express.com and sponsored by the Branded Steer Restaurant, Cush Lounge, Euro Cafe Bar, Joey Buona's Pizzaria & Restaurant, On the Border, Share Chemical Corporation, Sunbusters, Tendercar, and US Beef.

1st Round - These guys showed the crowd what starting fast is supposed to be like. Trading knees from a clinch through out the round. The pace was all but boring, as both fighters attempted to land kicks and punchers when standing. Bell lands a right and left hand followed by a knee as Tai lands on the ground. Referee Rob Kimmons rules it a unintentional foul and gives Tai time to shake it off. With just 23 seconds left in the round these guys went after it til the round ended.

Bells defense was tight as the round ends. 3rd Round - Tai gets the take down and proceeds to ground and pound on Bell. "Rocktown Showdown"
Lives Up To Its Name!

Franck Goes The Distance To Take Win - Rockford, Illinois, USA

Rockford, IL USA: The Gladiators Fighting Series returned to a packed Giovanni's Convention Center in Rockford, Illinois this past Friday night in grand fashion with "Rocktown Showdown," a Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts dual style fight card.

It was a classy, action packed affair from start-to-finish thanks to the efforts of local Gladiator & IKF/ISCF Promoters Colin Kvool and Frank Ingardona, owners of Rockford Kickboxing & Jiu-Jitsu, which presented the well produced event.

Staying true to Rockford's long standing and rich history as one of America's top cities for Kickboxing and ring sports in general, the show offered a variety of stoppages and close decisions in rapid fire succession as the crowd responded loudly and often.

The highly anticipated main event of the evening featured a Gladiators Light Heavyweight Kickboxing bout between Rockford's native son, Bryce "Bam Bam" Franck and French Kickboxing Champion Simon "The Lion of Senegal" Diouf of Paris, France who now resides and trains in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Franck and Diouf both delivered sharp kicks and impressive punching combinations for the duration of three, close rounds. In the end, Franck out worked Diouf just enough to earn a unanimous decision victory mainly due to successful body punches, effective knees in the clinch and solid, consistent leg kicks.

The night started off with three spirited exhibitions, two of which were Submission Grappling bouts. The Wilson brothers, Dallas and Wesley squared off against each other in a Super Heavyweight MMA exhibition, and when we say "Super Heavyweight," we mean it! Each brother weighed in at over 330 lbs. and stood over 6 feet tall. The crowd loved it as the brothers banged away at each other, setting the tone for what was to come.

The undercard featured "Danny Boy" Downes (Kickboxing), Quinton McCottrell (MMA), Leslie Stowell (Kickboxing), Rachid Maakoul and "Looney" Toon Singmouangthong (MMA) all earning victories.

The main card began with a rubber match between Rockford's Rafael Czaplicki and Chicago's "Terrible" Terry Brown. Each of these two Kickboxers previously owned a victory over the other (and the only loss on each of their records). After another entertaining, hard fought contest, Czaplicki came out the victor by majority decision and improved his record to 3-1, while Brown goes to 4-2.

Gary Young came all the way from Forest, Ohio attempting to disappoint local standout Justin Weiman. Unfortunately for Young, Weiman's grappling skills quickly became overwhelming, causing Young to tap out from strikes at 1:12 of the opening round. Credit has to be given to Young for stepping up and taking the bout on short notice with the much more experienced Weiman.

"Rocktown Showdown" was sponsored by Orthopedic Rehab Specialists, Riverside Dental Center and McKenzie Creative. The event was sanctioned by the IKF/ISCF under the approval of the Illinois State Athletic Commission.

RESULTS FROM
Rome Fight Night
Rome, Georgia, USA

Matthew Waller - ISCF Representative: Long time ISCF judge Stephen Carnes teamed up with Will Nix to promote their first ISCF event in Rome Georgia on May 20, 2006 at Shorter College. You could tell the crowd has been keeping up with MMA in this town as this was the first event held there live in many years but as fighters would improve positions the crowd would roar with the same excitement. Many years ago you could only get that reaction from a crowd if there was a solid knock out, but Carnes and Nix set out to showcase a high action night that left many wanting more.

Mr. George Allen and Mr. Cam McHargue were present to be the event referees and insure the safety of the fighters and also to enforce the rules for the evening.
Below are the details from the nights action:

  1. 185 LB Match
(Justin) Ryan Faircloth (IMB) VS Stacy Meeks (Team Fusion)
Both fighters start off the round with an exchange of punches and knees, soon the bout goes to the ground with an arm bar attempt from Meeks, Faircloth escapes and attempts a triangle choke, however they were almost out of the ring so Referee George Allen restarts the bout in the center of the ring in the same position. Faircloth is able to secure the triangle choke and force Meeks to tap.
Winner Ryan Faircloth by triangle choke at 3:00 in round 1.

  2. 170 LB Tournament
Carlton Spaulding (Knuckle Up) VS Mathew Dawley (Academy of Combat Evolution)
  3. Matthew "Killswitch" Smith (Gurgel) VS Jeremiah Gurley (Assassin Grapplers)
  4. 155 LB Match

RESULTS FROM
Xtreme Event Productions, LLC'S
Xtreme Freestyle Fighting II
Bradley Theatre, Columbus, Georgia, USA
Saturday, May 13th, 2006

Matthew Waller - ISCF Representative: Ken Coffee, the promoter for XFF has promoted his second ISCF event now in Columbus Georgia, however by the fighter and crowd reactions I am sure many felt that he has been promoting for several years. Coffee had it all in place from a great venue to witness the hot action to a 20 minute demonstration sponsored by Fabio Costa and team Knuckle Up, which helped to educate the already excited crowd on certain positions and submissions. Even with two fighters not showing up, Coffee could not be rattled by any issues and gave the crowd more than they could ask for from great submissions to powerful slams and knock outs .

Referee and ISCF Pro fighter George Allen was the third man in the ring to insure the rules and fighters safety. The venue was nearly packed which shows that Coffee has a few tricks up his sleeve for excellent marketing abilities, and his staff proved to be top notch at details.

Here are the results of the show the crowd enjoyed:

  1. Middleweight

Through The Fence!
At Cowboy's In Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
By Wil Nix

Friday night, April 28th, 2006, ISCF & IKF Promoter Chris Stolzman and his Knuckle Up Team hosted "Bring the Pain," at Cowboy's In Kennesaw, Georgia, USA. The crowd was treated to plenty of excitement and courage in the ring. The audience got to see everything from an amazing display of kicks and punches to some of the best groundwork the fight game has to offer. When they say fights are for the fans, "Bring tha Pain," brought that message home.
Here are the nights results...

  1. Cal Yarborough vs. Jerry Hinton
Round 1: When the bell rang both fighters came with their all. Both displayed amazing kickboxing talent. Hinton and Yarborough both landed vicious attacks that could have ended other fights, but each fought through. Neither established himself as the dominant fighter, nor could they finish their attacks.
Round 2: The excitement continued in the second with both fighters exchanging flurries, however, their inabilities to end the fight on the ground prevented either from putting away his opponent. Hinton attempted a few unsuccessful submissions (Arm bars), which usually led to a swing in momentum toward Yarborough.
Round 3: Yarborough began to achieve a slight edge in the third round. This was seen as he would take position and began to ground and pound on Hinton. This is what finally ended the bout.
Yarborough achieved rear mount and began a barrage upon the head of Hinton, causing referee George Allen to stop the fight.

  2. Brad Wright vs. C.J Jordan
Round 1: Wright showed early that he was going to dominate the ground game. With a quick takedown and passing of guard Wright had Jordan scrambling to find his game. Jordan, however, did not roll over; he gave Wright a battle and reversed positions. Then Wright was able to regain the advantage shortly before the bell rang.
Round 2: The fight began to go Wright's way in the second round as well. With both fighters on the ground, Jordan made an unsuccessful attempt at a triangle submission that cost him the fight.
Wright achieved mount and began pummeling Jordan, who was forced to tap at 3:36 in Round 2.

  3. Robi Ramey vs. John Miller
Round 1: From the start both of these heavyweight fighters put on a show. Miller and Ramey exchanged vicious knees, one that got a warning from referee George Allen because Miller was still on his knees.
At 4:10 in the first round Ramey ran Miller through the cage and onto the floor, causing considerable excitement for the fans and the event crew. Neither man appeared hurt, and after a brief stoppage for repairs, the fight continued.
Ramey and Miller returned to exchanging knee attacks and Ramey was able to take Miller to the ground for some pounding. However, Miller was not to be out done and reversed the position and dealt punishment of his own right as the bell rang.
Sadly, Ramey was unable to answer the bell to Round 2 due to injury causing referee George Allen to call the fight for Miller.

  4. Chris Cape vs. Clay Harvison
Round 1: Both men come out with solid standup, delivering a flurry of punches, kicks and knees. Harvison led early but Cape was able to reverse this with his solid standup game. Harvison attempted a double leg takedown that Cape sprawled out of and achieved side mount. Harvison was bleeding profusely. Cape made an attempt at a chimera but failed.
Round 2: Harvison had ground to make up and Cape would not give it up easy. The fight went to the ground where Cape was dominating. Cape gained mount and Havrison turned to his back allowing Cape to achieve a rear naked choke. Harvison tapped out at 2:14 in Round 2.

  5. Jeff Johnston vs. Phillip Beard
Round 1: From all aspects it was obvious of the reach and height advantage that Johnston had over Beard. However, Beard gave a spectacular performance on a fight notice of only 3 days. Beard attempted a double leg takedown that failed. Johnston then gets Beard on the ground and begins an assault on the fighter's head.
Referee George Allen stopped the fight in favor of Johnston early in the first round.

  6. John Trent vs. Ted Kaouk
Round 1: Early on both men threw kicks, punches and knees with much ferocity. Trent then got Kaouh in a guillotine choke. Kaouh was able to escape to gain an advantage; he achieved top mount and began to land some successful punches. Trent was able to reverse the position and land some of his own strikes. Neither fighter had a clear advantage after Round 1.
Round 2: Kaouh started dominant with punches and a quick takedown. Kaouh attempted an ankle lock but Trent defended successfully. However, Kaouh retained a prevailing position and began to override the defenses of Trent.
Trent tapped out due to strikes.

  7. Pro Muay Thai: Freddie Assuncao Vs Philip Botha
Round 1: Neither fight establish a rhythm but Assuncao began a slow approach that won a few strikes.
Round 2: Botha came up with a pattern and plan. This got Assuncao backing up, but he had a strong counter attack of punches and kicks in the last few seconds of the round.
Round 3: Both fighters continued their countering dance. Assunceao however, ended strong giving him a split decision win over Botha.

  8. Douglas Lima vs. Albert Stainback
Round 1: Lima and Stainback come out swinging. Lima's reach keeps Stainback at bay. Stainback gets Lima trapped on the fence, but both break and soon end on the floor. Both men struggle for position. Lima then gets to Stainback's rear and traps him in a rear naked choke, causing Stainback to tap out at 3:03 in Round 1.

  9. PRO MMA: Mike Walbrite vs Andrew Earles
Round 1: Two gentlemen from Kentucky came to "Bring Tha' Pain," to give Georgia a show. Walbrite and Earles both seemed to want to hurt each other. Walbrite was the early aggressor and landed early, but Earles soon would return the favor. Earles seemed to have more ground skills, but could not stop the overpowering Walbrite.
Round 2: Earles through a kick that landed on the shoulder of Walbrite. This got Earles taken to the floor. Walbrite then clearly shouted "Get up!" at his opponent. Another flurry then began. Earles then fell to the floor, where Walbrite punished him until the end of the round. The fight ended when Earles could not answer the bell for Round 3.

  10. Pro MMA: Micah Miller vs Larry Landry
Round 1: During the opening secconds of the fight Miller and Landry tied up and with Miller going to the ground. Landry then called for assistance to Referee George Allen, due to an eye injury. An inadvertent thumb to the eye had the officials rule the fight a no-contest as Landry was checked out by the medical staff. Later it was determined that Landry had suffered a corneal abrasion.

  11. Pro MMA: David Derby vs Diego Sariava
Round 1: Derby came out swinging hard but Saraiva's ground game was too skilled to be out done. The match was filled with both fighters shifting on the floor for position. Saraiava's Brazilian ju-jitsu skilled showed when he landed a heal hook to end the match at 4:32 in Round 1.

  12. Pro MMA: Scott Hope vs Junior Assuncao
Round 1: The dominance Junior Assuncao was evident from the beginning. His aggression and strength were demonstrated early. Hope did not rollover for his opponent, but gave a superb defense.

As I walked into the venue, I quickly noticed the great cage setup, the flashing lights, the numerous security and wait staff, all organized and ready to roll. DECISION: After video review of this bout by the ISCF, the bout decision has been changed from a win for Crandon to a "No Contest".
REASON: As Hampleman was charging at Crandon, he slipped on a wet mat, causing his hands to drop down. At this moment he took a punch from Crandon which took him down. As Hampleman quickly got up the Referee stopped the bout. In our opinion of what we saw, Hampleman was never in any danger, nor hurt and the Referee stopped the bout too soon thus bringing us to rule the bout a "No Contest" with a mandatory rematch which has already been scheduled for the June 10th Cage Of Honor. Good luck to both fighters!
