Is The UFC
Losing Their
"GOD LIKE"
Status?
The MMA Masses Are Starting To Question More And
More...
|
The UFC didn't need any more controversy following
our article about their association with IMMAF in an article earlier
this month. An issue we received LOADS of "WTF" e-mails
from those totally unaware of the UFC's clear agenda...
There are some ANGRY people out there who are
not too happy with the UFC's "God Like" Monopoly going
on... ESPECIALLY now that many are aware from the IMMAF
Exposed article that UFC is trying to take control over a part of
MMA that they told everyone years ago "Does Not Exist!"
AMATEUR MMA!
It was bad enough when UFC used their endless pit of
money to insert legal actions on LOADS of "AMATEUR"
and Pro MMA Promoters telling them they will need to pay royalty fees if
they use an 8 sided (Octagon) cage in their promotions! Yes... UFC
Owns a SHAPE! Click HERE!
Or what about Dana White outright "TELLING"
members at the Association
of Boxing Commissions yearly conference in Las Vegas a few years
back that "Amateur MMA does not exist, and EVERY STATE should
BAN Amateur MMA!"
Oh, and don't forget UFC's Mark Ratner
visiting every State Commission over the years telling them the very same
thing, as well as, "You should only allow UFC events in your
State because UFC is the ONLY Real MMA Promotion." WTF?
YES... EVERY STATE COMMISSION SAW UFC $$$ COMING IN And
simply agreed to do as they wished...
Keep in mind, all these individuals the UFC has been
AGGRESSIVELY trying to get rid of (Amateur Promoters, Amateur MMA
Fighters etc. etc.) are the SAME people who pay $54.99 every month to
watch the UFC's PPV events.
The UFC MUST be GOD if they can trash these people
and these people Keep Paying them money and put them on a pedestal!
This is sounding more and more like
Stalin's Plucked Chicken Story (Click Here) if
anything.
Many MMA media sources have been afraid to report on
controversial issues associated with the UFC fearing the UFC
would ban them from events like they did Sherdog.com after they reported on several
controversial but TRUTHFUL FACTS about the UFC years ago.
A ban White also kept with Strikeforce after
they bought it.

However, is the UFC's POWER Monopoly losing speed? Several
MMA media sources are no longer "Kissing The UFC's Axx" and
starting to report actual NEWS, Good or Bad.
The issues keep coming as many start to question their actual
"Credibility" towards building MMA as a WHOLE, or their "God
Like" Monopoly over the sport.
It seems the masses of MMA believe the UFC is doing
anything they want to as discovered from the article below... |

CONTROVERSY
Gives A UFC Black
Eye To Georges St-Pierre's Victory At UFC 158
Did
Officials Make Special Concessions for GSP
At UFC 158?
Hidden Camera Captures The Act!
Was there some "Good Ol Boy" Actions
Taking Place Between The Quebec Athletic Commission and ZUFFA's UFC?
You be the judge...
No one here is saying this would have mattered in the outcome
of the Georges St-Pierre vs Nick Diaz bout.
However, what we
are saying is this "Just Isn't Right!"
The
article below os from
Vendettafighter.com
Nick
Diaz Advised Of Controversial Weigh-in
Rule Just Prior To UFC 158
Weigh-In's
A member of the Nick Diaz camp was able to record a
very interesting conversation between ZUFFA employee
Mike
Mersh, (UFC's Senior VP of Business and Legal Affairs and Assistant
general Counsel)
and Nick Diaz, just prior to UFC 158
weigh-in's.
Apparently the athletic commission in Quebec, claimed that they don't count
the decimal points for main event title fights.
Something that is absolutely unheard of in the
sport.
Here is the video at the bottom of this article, with
quotes from the conversation posted below.
- Mike Mersh: "They're going to allow you and Georges to
have an extra hour, just in case somebody doesn't make it. But the good news is,
they don't count the decimal. If you're 170.2 it's 170. If it's 170.9. it's 170."
- Diaz camp: "Why didn't we know that before?"
- Mike Mersh: "Should be fine, hopefully, other than that.
Just so you guys are in the loop, if there's
"
- Diaz camp: "Why didn't you tell us that yesterday?"
- Mike Mersh: "Well, no, it's just something to keep in
mind. That's kind of an off the record type of thing. But keep that in mind. As
long as he's under 171, we should be good. But, there is a time period
afterwards, for you and Georges only. All the other fighters have to make it the
first time. Just letting you guys be in the loop, okay? Good luck!"
- Diaz camp: "That's a loophole
A Canadian loophole."
- Here is an excerpt from the official unified rules (CLICK) for mixed martial arts, in regards to
weighing-in:
- In non-championship fights, there shall be allowed a 1 pound weigh
allowance.
- In championship fights, the participants must weigh no more than
that permitted for the relevant weight division.
An ESPN media member investigated this issue further by reaching out to Carlos
Condit, who had fought Georges St-Pierre back at UFC 154, in
Montreal, Quebec. And he revealed something interesting:
Brett Okamoto @bokamotoESPN
I asked Carlos Condit if
he was told at UFC 154 he could weigh between 170.1 to 170.9. He confirmed he
was NOT told the same
9:47 PM - 22 Mar 13
ZUFFA L.L.C has gotten the video taken down on 1-2
times due to 'copyright' laws. But technically, they should not be able
to do that, which makes the whole situation more intriguing. If
Georges St-Pierre was over the 170lbs weight limit by 0.9lbs or less,
it's extremely unlikely it had any effect on the fight with Diaz. But
it's just very interesting that Nick Diaz was not advised of the 'rule'
until after he had already cut weight, when it's 'likely' that the
home-town champion was made aware of it earlier.
Georges St-Pierre was also involved in some controversy
back at UFC 94, when he took on BJ Penn for the second time.
St-Pierre's corner-man (Phil Nurse), was caught 'red-handed'
applying Vaseline to St-Pierre back in-between rounds, something that is
illegal.
Georges St-Pierre was not issued any kind of punishment or penalty for
the 'greasing' incident by the NSAC.
Since that incident at UFC 94, rules have changed for
corner-men, who are not allowed to apply Vaseline on the fighters anymore, only
cut-men can. The UFC has no authority over athletic commissions
overseeing their events. So this rule was implemented by the Quebec athletic
commission, not the UFC. Written by @VENDETTA_MMA
ADDED NOTE: In regards to this comment: "The
UFC has no authority over athletic commissions overseeing their events. So this
rule was implemented by the Quebec athletic commission, not the UFC."
REPLY: Sure... Everyone reading this believes that
comment.... Ahhhh... Right.. wink, wink.
Regardless, view the video yourself,.
Oh, and after
checking with our Legal Department, the UFC has NO COPYRIGHT over ANY
Private Video shot in a Private conversation, which this video was. This would
be like one of us video taping our toes while sitting inside the same venue, and
to note, the "Actual Event" was not even taking place at the
time of this video.
Something everyone would think Mike Mersh, UFC's
Senior VP of Business and Legal Affairs and Assistant general Counsel
would, or SHOULD know himself...
Here is the link to the Video in
question below...

A FINAL NOTE ABOUT THE ABOVE NEWS
Look, we love the UFC events as much as everyone else. In
fact, we support them far more than we have EVER talked negatively about
them. However, there comes a time when someone needs to stand-up for the masses.
"With great power comes great responsibility." The UFC
has great power in the MMA Fight World. However, this does not mean that they
can squash those below them or use their power to make-up rules, hurt fighters,
hurt other people, etc. etc. The UFC is the reason all of us are
thriving in the world of MMA, and they rightfully deserve that praise. All we
are saying is "Don't be a Bully just because you CAN!" Stand
proud Dana, but be humble. It would be much better to remember you as a
great LEADER in our sport instead of the Bully who slapped those not as blessed
as you in the face...
"The challenge
of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak;
be
bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble,
but not timid;
be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly."

Marley Swindells VS Ryan Phelps
Already strong contender for fight of the night in our
opinion.
Marley (7-3) is on the back of winning a three round war against
Julian Shuttleworth in Coventry September 2012 he is ready for a big
fight in front of a home crowd in Swansea.
Ryan Phelps (6-2-1) is on the back of two three round battles
with Ricky Fortuna for the Painpit title, the first of which ending in a

NYS Backtracks on Ban
Language: Back to Court
Stephen Koepfer
FOR ORIGINAL ARTICLE - CLICK HERE
As I reported to you
yesterday, today was deadline for the settlement process mandated by Judge Kimba
Wood during the Zuffa, et. al vs NYS trial on February 13th.
To get you up to speed, representatives for the NY Attorney General had stated
in court that were a professional MMA promoter to seek sanctioning from one of
the approved 3rd party martial art sanctioning bodies listed in the NY law, it
would be legal (as it is with amateur MMA). Lawyers representing Zuffa,
et. al. then quickly asked for confirmation and assurance that promotion of a
live professional event would not lead to prosecution; noting that if the state
would confirm this, there would be no reason to continue the trial. Given the
state's history with flip-flopping on the law's interpretation, an assurance of
their current stance before a judge would be critical. With NYS's lawyer
unable to give said confirmation, Judge Wood ordered an attempt at settlement
with a March 8th deadline.
In my February 14th report on the trial I opined:
"The critical question is whether or not the state
will stand behind this interpretation of the law and not prosecute a promoter
who hosts an event. This will be the meat of the settlement talks. My guess is
that Attorney General Schneiderman will make no guarantees regarding future
prosecution and toss the ball back to the plaintiffs as if to say "Host an
event and find out."
It seems that my assessment was on target. Today the UFC
released the following official statement:
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is
greatly disappointed that the settlement conference scheduled today before the
Federal Court has been cancelled because the New York Attorney General is no
longer willing to discuss a settlement consistent with the position his Office
has repeatedly taken in Court.
The Attorney General has once again changed his position on the
meaning of the MMA ban in New York and we will vigorously urge the Federal Court
to decide that the ban is unconstitutional.
So, as I predicted, it is back to court for Zuffa, et.
al vs. NYS. Where does this leave us? The same place we have been for
years. The Senate approving legislation that would regulate professioanl MMA in
NY, an unpredictable Assembly, and a court case proceeding in the background. At
least Governor Cuomo has moved away from his prior "lack of a position"
and is now publicly considering the issue. Let's hope Assembly Speaker Sheldon
Silver will act justly this year and allow the legislation to the floor for
a vote.

Who's Drinking The
"KICK KOOL-AID"
Again...
You May Be Surprised At How UFC and The Newly
Formed IMMAF Tie In Here
We thought that salesmen Frank Babcock and master BSer
Ted Welch were done serving up BS when they got pulled by the
European Kickboxing Organization WAKO as their USA Representative for
WAKO's European Kickboxing Tournament. After year after year of failure
in attempting to host a major kickboxing tournament, people started to open
their eyes and realize, "These guys are GREAT Salesmen... but nothing
ever gets delivered..."
KICK International slang their BS to try and
get everyone to believe THEY were going to be the OLYMPIC Branch
for USA Kickboxing about 10 years ago... Finally, they threw in the towel and
said, "Where else is there $$$?"
KICK eventually gave up on that whole Kickboxing idea
and moved over to MMA, hoping to find some others that don't really know what
kind of BS these guys are capable of slinging and hopefully can be sold
on even more FALSE PROMISES as they did with Kickboxing... Well,
they tried that for a few years, and once again, their reputation and caught up
with them once again and now, they have moved on to something else... different
name, SAME BS!
Seems KICK and their new USA MMA KICK International
Federation is filled with even more BS! We have received a special
article that will shock those involved with KICK's new organization. we
will be posting it next week once we run through it first to verify everything
we have been reading because even we are saying "HOLY CRAP! This is
some major Car Salesman BS!"
Sadly, what's even more of a shock are some of the credible
people in the Fight Sports that are drinking every last drop of that BS
Kool-Aid!
Let us add this before we leave... Back around this time last
year, some of you may have heard about the UFC endorsing an organization
called IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts federation). The news
that came out was that IMMAF was founded in Stockholm, Sweden by August
Wallén on February 29th 2012. However, here's where some of this
story begins...
Let us ask you, does anyone here think that Dana White
or Marc Ratner of the UFC or Stupid? No really... What we mean
is, does anyone really think they would make a decision without first wanting to
see some evidence of credibility? Well, here's what we are being told.
To begin with, IMMAF and August Wallén
had some help in founding this organization that has some direct USA ties to a
very big USA based MMA Promotion.
IMMAF claims they were founded in February 29th 2012.
They launched their website on April 11th, 2012. Less than 2 months after they
were founded, and just one day after making their organization known to the
public, on April 12th, 2012, the UFC -OUT OF THE BLUE- decides to
endorse the newly formed organization. It was then that UFC's Managing
Director of International Development Marshall Zelaznik announced that
the UFC was supporting the newly formed International Mixed Martial Arts
Federation (IMMAF). Zelaznik made the declaration at the press
conference for the UFC in Fuel 2, which was to mark the
organizations debut in Sweden that coming Saturday. Remember, it was this same
day (That morning) that IMMAF announced that it was founded...At
that same press conference, Dana White was already endorsing this
unknown organization. White also said they were backing IMMAF,
again... Just days after the IMMAF's formation was announced.
That same day, UFC Sends a press release announcing
their support of IMMAF... Are you starting to see where this is going
yet? That same day IMMAF was already making themselves out to be the "OLYMPIC"
GO-TO for MMA worldwide. WORLDWIDE? A few days later, Joe Rogan
jumped on board with his (Whatever an announcers thoughts are worth)
support of IMMAF. The next day Marc Ratner was singing how Great
IMMAF is, etc. etc... REALLY? These guys haven't even done an
event and already they have WORLDWIDE recognition? Really?
Want to know how powerful the UFC is with MMA Press?
So why is UFC behind an AMATEUR organization?
The SAME UFC that Dana White told members of the Association
of Boxing Commissions at their Las Vegas Conference a few years back
that Amateur MMA should be BANNED! Yes... BANNED! That Amateur MMA
didn't exist... Oh, and lets not forget, Marc Ratner was saying the same
thing. So jump ahead a year and this is what the article we have is about...
Lets just jump to it... After you read the article, ask yourself, does it appear
that now that UFC pretty much rules the world in PRO MMA, does it now
appear they want to do the same with AMATEUR MMA? We have been told that IMMAF
was not only created by UFC, but financed and directed by them. By the
end of April 2012, UFC's Marc Ratner was appointed Chairman of
IMMAF's Technical Committee. Did any of you know Marc Ratner is
retiring from the UFC? His replacement is being trained by him right
now, Wisconsin's Jess Gonzalez. More on this in the article.
In the mean time, IMMAF is signing up organizations to
represent them around the world. However, in the USA, they have failed miserably
in their decision to appoint KICK as their USA Representative. Why? Just
ask the WAKO Kickboxing organization what kind of "Leaders"
Frank Babcock and Ted Welch are. Sadly, as previously stated,
these two have been selling themselves to some pretty high profile MMA people.
What's even more shocking is that these guys are "Believing"
in what Babcock and Welch are telling them.
However, once the story comes out next week, a few may second
guess their association with KICK's new USA MMA KICK International
Federation. Some may even be a bit embarrassed they bought into it. Are we
saying we as the ISCF would rather be in
KICK's place? NOT at all. We had no desire to when asked. Why? Because
the ISCF was ALREADY DOING what
IMMAF was claiming they were going to do. So WHY reinvent the wheel? Two
simple words... POWER and CONTROL.
Both IMMAF and the UFC know that the ISCF would not just bow down and "Do as
they want" or do things Their Way, so the simple answer and solution
was to "Form their own organization..." And they did...
IMMAF and the UFC are laying the foundation for
their monopoly over Amateur MMA worldwide. And why did IMMAF want to
work with KICK? well, it's easy to direct those who already don't know what
their doing, which KICK has proved over and over again in sanctioning
both Kickboxing and MMA here in the USA. Heck, lets just say this as we end this
quick pre-article about all this. When you are looking to align yourself with
someone or an organization, ANYONE with any Intelligence in business
relationships knows to do their due diligence on those they are being asked to
be involved with. In doing so, all they have to ask is... "Over the
last 10 years, What has KICK, Frank Babcock or Ted Welch done
for either Kickboxing and or MMA?" The answer is simple... Other than a
LOAD of FALSE PROMISES to a lot of people, they have
accomplished NOTHING!
More on all this next week...

Bellator 91 Results
- Attila Vegh defeated Christian M'Pumbu.
Vegh
dominated their encounter from start to finish, getting the better of the
striking exchanges and controlling the action on the ground. Attila
dropped M'Pumbu several times during their five-rounder, and he never
really gave Christian a chance to find his groove. The judges scored the
bout 50-45, 49-46, and 48-47 in favor of Vegh, who secured the Bellator
Light Heavyweight Title.
- Saad Awad defeated Will Brooks
Lightweight
Semifinal
Awad went right after Brooks at Bellator
91, hurting him early in the first round with a barrage of punches from the
clinch. Brooks instinctively tried to get the fight to the ground, but
Saad refused to let up. He continued blasting away at Brooks
until the latter went limp, prompting referee Jason Herzog to stop the
bout at the 4:17 mark. With the win, Awad advances to the finals of the
season eight lightweight tournament where he'll face David Rickels.
- David Rickels defeated Jason Fischer
Lghtweight
Semifinal
Fischer had his moments during their Bellator
91 encounter, landing decent shots during the opening round of the fight.
However, Rickels proved to be the better fighter, landing the cleaner,
harder punches and pushing the pace of their bout. David displayed his
superior grappling skills in the final round, brutalizing Fischer on the
ground, threatening with a few submissions. The judges scored the bout 30-27,
29-28, and 30-27, all in favor of Rickels.

MMA Enjoying An
'Explosion'
In Popularity With Kids
An Estimated 3 Million Children Under
The Age Of 13 Are Now Taking MMA Classes Around The Country.
By Eric Pfeiffer, Yahoo! News
Mixed martial arts, the rough-and-tumble fighting form more
commonly known as "MMA," has surged in popularity with
children. An estimated 3 million children under the age of 13 are now taking MMA
classes around the country, according to Orlando, Florida's WKMG.
The sport, which has enjoyed massive mainstream popularity
through leagues like the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and the 2011
Oscar-nominated film "Warrior," is reportedly now being
studied by children as young as 5. "The trend I've seen with children
and mixed martial arts is an explosion," Jonathan Burke, the
owner of the VI Levels, a mixed martial arts gym in Ocoee, Florida, told
WKMG. However, Burke says his goal is not to turn the kids into
street fighters, but rather to help them get into shape and deal with issues
ranging from bullying to mental illness.
"We use it to teach these kids self-defense and how to
deal with mental issues," he said. "It's not about fighting.
It's about getting in great physical shape, improving your mental focus and
discipline. I can't guarantee they won't be a bully," Burke
added, "But I can guarantee that the way we present the information,
we're going to make bullying look so bad, they're going to be ashamed to be
associated with that word."
