Hello Everybody!
I'm here to tell the needed INFO about the Murilo Ninja and Mauricio Shogun seminar in Atlanta, GA, this coming January! This is the first time both brothers do a seminar together, and the first time any of them do seminars in the USA! I'm biased but I really believe the seminar is great and we look forward to see everybody from the GA area there! Here are the details: Date: Saturday the 22nd @ 11am- 3pm Price: $40 if you pre register and $50 the day of the seminar. Place: Velocity academy at Sandy Springs/North Buck head location in the Prado Shopping center next to Kobe Steak and Frankie's Sports bar. Address: 5600 Roswell road Ste 009 Atlanta GA 30342. Participants can call Chris directly at 404 247 5494 to pre register or e-mail him at cstzman@aol.com Other cities confirmed Include Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Winter Heaven (near Orlando) in Florida. Please understand that prices of the seminar can change from city to city, as some academies have more space, and some has less, and costs of traveling and lodging change from city to city. I'll post the info about the other seminars soon! I can post ANY info needed or answer ANY questions about the seminar here! PLEASE ask anything you want as Ninja and Shogun want to make this the best possible experience for everybody, and we hope to see all of you in the seminar :-) Eduardo Alonso. Date: 01/19/05 01:28 PM Ninja And Shogun Overview The "Ninja"/"Shogun" seminar At the Philadelphia Mixed Martial Arts Academy proved to be even more exciting and valuable than we had hoped. These guys are simply awesome. They showed classic "Chute Boxe" techniques including unique Thai boxing techniques geared for MMA as well as the proper way to "Stomp" your opponent. Who would of ever thought we would learn a stomp, but there was real important details that went into it. Their Jiu-Jitsu technique was great as well. They taught clinch work as well as chokes and submissions on the ground. Again, they modified the BJJ techniques so they can be 100% effective for MMA. Ninja and Shogun are both brown belts in BJJ and it was obvious. Many of the attendies were Purple and Brown belts themselves and even they had not seen these techniques before. Next were defenses to submissions and positions. The covered the gamet in only 3 hours. Lastly we went over Ninja and Shogun's famous flying knees. The drill was intense and the power delivered by the knees was so explosive. They motivated students using their classic "Hey ee" sound as we threw the knees. This is the sound you would typically hear coming from the corner of a Chute Boxe fighter. It is very recognizable and the students felt like you were training at Chute Boxe in Brazil. With the help of Eduardo Alonso, their translator, the messages were conveyed effectively and quickly. Even without out translation, we could see exactly what Ninja and Shogun wanted to see by their expressions and tones of voice. I have been too many seminars in the past, often disappointed by what we learned (either having learned it already or by the seminar presenter holding back moves). This seminar was worth far more than the $50 students paid. It was invaluable! We can't wait for them to come back and for those of you who are thinking about attending their next seminar, think no more, you have to go or you will miss the opportunity of a lifetime! After the seminar, some of the students came with us for a bite to eat after words. Ninja and Shogun (although not speaking very much English) were so sociable and conversed with everyone. They are lively and we got to see how truley nice Ninja and Shogun really are. Every attendee that I spoke with was overwhelmed with how amazing the seminar was. We can't wait for them to come back! Thank you Ninja, Shogun and Eduardo! (source: http://www.mma.tv/TUF/index.cfm?FID=1&a=419&TID=0 ) |
